It has greatly darkened and faded. My experiment has shown me that insight printing will result
in approximately one year...a faded and darkened image that will continue to deteriorate as time
goes on. The end result is an unhappy and unsatisfied client who no longer has an image they loved.
For this reason, I require all of my images to be printed at a professional lab with archival papers and inks. This ensures that your images will last at least 100 years with proper care.
Many people ask me why I do not print on site. Well, I have been told by many professional photographers whom I network with that printing off a printer on site results in images that will fade. I decided to test that guidance. I printed this image on June 5th, 2006, just after the TNT Rodeo last year. If you ignore the awful angle in which I did take the image, you see a bright, vibrant image properly showing the colors of the horse and clothing. Now, look at the next image below....
This is the same print, almost one year later. I hung this print on a wall in my home for the year, giving it normal light exposure for any home. Please note that this image was not exposed to any sort of smoking as well.
